Latin-script alphabet

Okay kiddo, so you know how we use letters to write words, right? Well, the Latin-script alphabet is a group of letters that we use to write in languages like English, Spanish, French, and a bunch of other languages too!

The Latin-script alphabet has 26 letters in it. They are:

A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z

We use these letters to make words. When we write words, we have to put the letters in the right order so that the word makes sense. For example, if we want to write the word "cat," we need to use the letters C, A, and T, and we have to put them in the order C-A-T.

People have been using the Latin-script alphabet for a really long time. Actually, it was first used by the ancient Romans! Over time, the alphabet has changed a bit and new letters have been added, but it still looks a lot like the one the Romans used.
