Lavvu

Lavvu is like a big tent that people use when they go camping or live in very cold places. It's a round, portable shelter that is easy to put up and take down. Think of it like a big umbrella that can keep you dry and warm from the rain and cold wind.

Lavvus have been around for a long time and were first used by the indigenous people of Northern Europe, such as the Sami people. They were made with materials found in the local area, such as birch bark and animal hides.

To set up a lavvu, you need to first find a good spot to put it. Then, you put a center pole in the ground and attach the top of the lavvu to it. Next, you stretch the sides of the lavvu out and secure them to the ground. Finally, you build a fire pit in the middle of the lavvu and create a chimney at the top so the smoke can escape.

People use lavvus for lots of reasons. For example, if you go camping in a place where there are no houses or buildings, a lavvu is a good place to sleep and stay warm. They're also good for people who raise reindeer or other animals in cold regions because they can be easily moved from place to place.

Overall, a lavvu is a handy, portable shelter that can keep you warm and dry in cold and rainy areas, and it has been used for a long time by people who live in very cold regions.
