Rugby is a game played by two teams with an oval-shaped ball. There are rules that the players must follow to make sure everyone is safe and the game is fair.
First, both teams have to line up facing each other and try to push each other to get the ball. This is called a "scrum."
Next, players can only pass the ball backwards to their teammates. They can run with the ball, but if they get tackled, they have to let go of the ball.
If someone does something wrong, like tackling someone in a dangerous way or not standing in the right place, the referee blows their whistle and stops the game. The person who did something wrong might get a penalty or even get sent off the field.
There are also rules about when the game ends and how many points each team can score. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins.
Remember to always play fair and be safe!
