Lead Books of Sacromonte

Okay, so imagine you really like to read and have lots of books. Well, a long time ago, in a place called Sacromonte in Spain, people made books out of a special kind of material called lead.

These books were made by taking a big piece of lead and carving out shapes and letters on it, kind of like writing a message in a big piece of clay. The shapes and letters were very important because they were religious prayers and stories that people believed in very strongly.

So, the people of Sacromonte would put these lead pages together into what they called "lead books." There were lots of these lead books and they were very special because people believed they had been given to them by important religious figures. The books were also very secret and kept hidden away because they were so valuable and people didn't want anyone to steal them or destroy them.

Over time, people started to realize that the lead books were actually a fake! They weren't made by important religious figures at all, but instead were made by people trying to trick others into thinking they were real.

But even though we now know the truth about the lead books, they are still very important to the people of Sacromonte because they have a long and interesting history.
