Left–right politics

Left-right politics is a way of looking at the world to see how people think about different political ideas. The left side of politics usually believes in things like more government control over the economy, helping the poor, and taking care of the environment. The right side of politics usually believes in things like less government control over the economy, tough crime laws, and less regulation. People will usually pick one of these sides and then make decisions about how they want their government to act.
