Leidang

Leidang was a very long time ago in Scandinavia. A long, long time ago, people in Scandinavia had a way of keeping their towns and villages safe. They would all join together and form a group called Leidang. They would have meetings to talk about what they need to do to protect their town. Sometimes they would build big walls around their town to stop people from attacking them. They would make plans to get soldiers and boats ready to use if they were being attacked.

So, imagine you have a lot of toys that you like to play with. You have a lot of friends who also have toys. You all meet and decide to form a toy club called "Leidang". You talk about how to keep your toys safe and what to do if someone tries to take them. You all agree that you will build a big toy fort around your play area, so nobody can come in and steal your toys. You will also make sure everyone knows how to share their toys and take turns playing with them. That way, all of your friends can enjoy the toys together and keep them safe.
