Leidenfrost effect

The Leidenfrost effect is an interesting and fun phenomenon! When a liquid comes into contact with a surface that is much hotter than its boiling point, the liquid can cause the surface to become very slippery. This is because when a liquid comes into contact with a very hot surface, the liquid near the surface starts to vaporize and form a very thin layer of gas that acts as a barrier between the liquid and the surface. This gas layer is what causes the surface to become very slippery.
