Leonese language

Leonese language is a way of communicating that some people use in a region of Spain called Leon. It has its own way of saying words and sounds a little different than Spanish. Just like how some people speak English with an accent, people who speak Leonese might have their own accent.

Leonese language has been around for a very long time, even before Spanish was spoken in Spain. It is part of a bigger family of languages called Romance languages, which includes Spanish, French, Italian, and Portuguese. Some people still use Leonese language today, but it is not as common as Spanish.

People who speak Leonese might say things like "gua" instead of "agua" for water or "hierba" instead of "hierba" for grass. It might sound a little funny or different to someone who is used to Spanish, but it can be very important to people who want to keep their cultural traditions alive.
