Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail

Okay kiddo, have you ever heard of Lewis and Clark before? They were two explorers who traveled across America a long time ago. The Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail was made to follow their journey and remember all the amazing things they did!

The trail starts in Missouri and travels all the way to the Pacific Ocean on the west coast. There are lots of different things to see along the way, like forests, mountains, and rivers. You might even see animals like bears, elk, and beavers!

Now, remember how Lewis and Clark were explorers? That means they went to places that no one had been to before. Along the trail, you can visit some of the same places they did, like Fort Mandan, where they spent the winter one year. You can even see some things they left behind, like a rock where they carved their names!

Another thing to know about the Lewis and Clark trail is that it's a really long journey. It takes a lot of time and preparation to make the trip all the way to the end. But, people still do it! Some people bike, hike, or even ride horses along the path.

So, in summary, the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail is a big and important way to remember two explorers who traveled across America a long time ago. Along the trail, there are lots of cool things to see and you can even visit some of the same places Lewis and Clark did!
