Li-Fi is like Wi-Fi, but instead of using radio waves, li-fi uses light waves. Li-fi is short for "Light Fidelity", and it means that data can be sent and received using light from something like a light bulb. The data is sent and received using something called a photodiode and a transmitter. In other words, instead of using radio waves to communicate like Wi-Fi does, li-fi uses light that comes from a lamp or light bulb. So instead of connecting to the internet by connecting your computer to a Wi-Fi router, you can connect to the internet by having a lightbulb shining on your computer!
