Light metal

Alright kiddo, have you ever held a toy car or a spoon that was really light? That's because it was probably made of a type of metal called "light metal". Light metals are just like regular metals, but they are much lighter in weight.

The most common type of light metal is aluminum. Have you ever seen a soda can or a foil wrapper for your lunch? Those are made of aluminum because it's light and easy to shape. We can also use aluminum for things like airplane parts and car engines because it doesn't weigh as much as other metals.

Another type of light metal is magnesium. It's very strong but, just like aluminum, it's also light in weight. We can use magnesium to make things like cameras, laptops, and even medical devices.

Overall, light metals are metals that are lightweight and easy to shape, making them very useful in many different kinds of products.
