Lightning injury

Lightning is a very bright spark that is made when electricity suddenly jumps between clouds or from the clouds to the ground. If lightning hits a person or object, it can cause a lot of damage.

If a person is struck by lightning, it can cause a lot of harm to their body. The electricity from the lightning can enter the person's body and travel through their nerves and muscles, which can cause burns, nerve damage, and even stop their heart.

Some of the things that people can do to avoid getting struck by lightning include staying inside during a storm, avoiding open spaces or tall objects like trees, and not standing near metal fences or other conductive materials. If someone is caught outside during a storm and feels their hair stand on end or they hear a buzzing sound, they should immediately get down in a crouched position, cover their ears, and wait until the storm passes.

If someone is struck by lightning, it's important to call for help right away. Emergency medical services can help treat the person's injuries and monitor their heart and other vital organs. In most cases, people who are struck by lightning can recover from their injuries with proper medical attention.
