ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Like button

A like button is a little button with a thumbs up symbol on it that you can click on websites or social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter. When you click the like button, you're telling the person who posted the thing that you enjoyed it or thought it was good.

It's kind of like giving your friend a high-five or a pat on the back when they do something cool. But instead of doing it in person, you can do it on the internet. And sometimes, when lots of people click the like button, it can show the person who posted the thing that lots of people liked it too.

It's important to remember that just because something doesn't have a lot of likes doesn't mean it's not good or important. And it's also important to use the like button responsibly by only clicking it when you really mean it, and not just because everyone else is doing it.
