Limit cycle

A limit cycle is a repeating pattern. For example, in nature, a limit cycle can be a repeating cycle of seasons, like winter, spring, summer and fall. Limit cycles can also happen in machines and technology. Think of a bucket at the end of a running water faucet. When the water comes out of the faucet, it fills the bucket. Eventually, all the water will pour out of the bucket, and the cycle will repeat. That's a limit cycle.
