ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Line with two origins

Okay kiddo, so you know how we draw a line to connect two points right? Well, imagine if there were two different points that the line had to go through to connect them. That's what we call a line with two origins. It's like having two starting points for the same line.

It's kind of like when you and your friend both want to draw a line from one end of a piece of paper to the other, but instead of starting at the same end, you both start from different ends and meet in the middle.

It might seem a little confusing, but basically, it just means that instead of one clear starting point for the line, there are two. It's not something we see often in everyday life, but it's a concept that can be useful in math and geometry.
