Link concordance

Link concordance is like playing a matching game with web addresses (also called URLs). You know how when you play a matching game, you have to find two cards that have the same picture on them? Well, link concordance is like matching up two web addresses that have the same information on them.

When you click on a link on a website, it takes you to another web page. Sometimes, two different links will take you to the same web page. Link concordance is when someone goes through a website and finds all the links that take you to the same web page, and makes a list of them. This helps people who are using the website to find what they're looking for more easily, because they can use any of the links that take them to the same place.

For example, let's say you're trying to find information about dogs on a website. You click on one link that takes you to a page about different breeds of dogs, and then you click on another link that takes you to a page about dog food. But if someone has made a link concordance, they might notice that both of those links take you to a page called "All About Dogs." So instead of clicking on two different links, you could just use either one to get to the information you're looking for.

Link concordance can be helpful for people who run websites, too. If they know that a lot of different links on their site take people to the same web page, they can adjust their website to make it easier for people to find what they're looking for. And that's link concordance!
