ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Slice knot

Okay kiddo, so imagine you have a piece of rope. You can twist and turn it to make all sorts of shapes, right? Well, one of those shapes is called a slice knot.

Basically, you take the rope and make a loop. Then, you take the end of the rope and stick it through the loop, and wrap it around the loop again. Finally, you stick the end of the rope back through the loop, but this time from the opposite side.

The cool thing about a slice knot is that it can be really strong and hold things together tightly. People use it all the time when they need to tie things up securely, like for camping or tying down a load in a truck.

But remember, always ask an adult for help when using rope or tying knots!
