Lion Salt Works

Lion Salt Works is a factory in Cheshire, England where salt is made. Salt is an important ingredient used in food and it has been made at the Lion Salt Works for over 150 years! To make salt, workers process sea water by boiling it in large kettles, or pots. As the water boils, it evaporates and the salt is left behind. The salt is then collected and packaged so it can be sold to people who use it in their cooking.
