Little Theatre Movement

So, a long time ago, people really liked going to big fancy theatres to see plays and shows. But some people thought that those big theatres were too serious and kind of boring. They wanted something different. They wanted a place where they could do more fun and experimental shows. That's when the little theatre movement was born!

Basically, people started making their own little theatres in small towns and cities. They would use old buildings, like churches or community centers, and turn them into little theaters. They would put on plays that were more exciting and interesting, with new and different ideas.

These little theaters weren't as fancy as the big ones, but they were a lot more fun and interesting. People could go to see shows that were really unique and different, and they didn't have to spend a lot of money to do it.

The little theatre movement started in the early 1900s and it really changed the way people looked at theatre. Now, there are little theaters all over the world, and they are still putting on fun and exciting shows that you won't see anywhere else!
