Lorsch Bee Blessing
So, a long time ago, people who lived in a place called Lorsch in Germany really loved bees because they made yummy honey and helped flowers grow. They thought bees were very important and so they decided to have a special ceremony to bless them.
During the bee blessing, people would sing songs and say prayers while a special priest sprinkled holy water on beehives. The holy water was a way to ask God to keep the bees safe and healthy.
