ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Loud Records

Alright kiddo, have you ever listened to a record player before? You know how it plays music by reading grooves on a vinyl record using a needle?

Well, sometimes those grooves can be really small and quiet, so the music doesn't sound very loud. But other times, the grooves can be really big and deep, which makes the music louder.

When a record is made, they can adjust the size and depth of the grooves to make the music louder or quieter. Sometimes they want the music to be really loud, so they make really big and deep grooves.

But if they make the grooves too big and deep, it can actually cause problems and damage the record player. So they have to be careful and find a balance between making the music loud but not damaging the equipment.

Overall, loud records are just records with big and deep grooves that make the music extra loud.
