A long time ago, a girl named Bernadette Soubirous saw a vision of the Virgin Mary, who is very important to people who believe in God. The vision appeared in a cave in the Lourdes Grotto, and Bernadette told other people about it. Lots of people started going to the cave to pray and ask for special favors, like feeling better if they were sick.

Nowadays, the Lourdes Grotto has become a famous place for people from all over the world to visit and say their prayers. Some people even say that they see miracles happen there. So, whenever someone wants to feel close to God and ask for something special, they might go to the Lourdes Grotto and say their prayers there.
