Luke 22:43–44
In the book called the Bible, in a part called the New Testament, there is a story about a very important person named Jesus. One night, before a very big and scary thing was going to happen to him, Jesus went to pray in a garden.
When he was praying, he felt very sad and scared because he knew that soon some bad people were going to hurt him. While he was praying, an angel came to be with him and help him feel better. The angel made Jesus feel stronger and more able to handle what was going to happen.
During this time, Jesus was so sad and scared that he started to sweat so much that it looked like blood. This is a very rare thing that sometimes happens to people when they are super sad or scared. So, even though it was really hard for him, he kept praying and asking for help.
Even though this part of the story may be hard to understand or seem strange, it helps us understand that Jesus was human just like us and felt scared and sad just like we do sometimes. But he also knew that he could ask for help from God, and that is what he did in the garden.
