A lunar roving vehicle (or "LRV") is a kind of special car that can move around on the surface of the Moon. It was made by NASA so that astronauts could explore the Moon's surface more easily during the Apollo missions from 1969 to 1972. The vehicle looks like a car, but it doesn't have a normal engine — instead it runs on electricity from big solar panels on top. It also has special big tires that work like giant tires to drive on the Moon's surface. The Lunar Rover was much easier for astronauts to use than walking on the Moon, and it allowed them to explore even more of the Moon’s surface.
