Luthier

A luthier is like a person who makes special musical instruments called 'stringed instruments' such as guitars, violins, cellos, and basses. The luthier starts by selecting the right type of wood and then cuts and shapes it into the parts that make up the instrument. They have to be very careful and use special tools to make each piece fit together perfectly. Once all the pieces are put together, they add strings and might do some final adjustments to make sure the instrument sounds beautiful when played. Think of a luthier as a musical instrument artist who creates beautiful, handmade instruments that make gorgeous sounds!
