Lyonnaise potatoes

Lyonnaise potatoes are a type of dish that is made by cooking potatoes in a special way! First, you take some potatoes and chop them into little pieces. Then, you cook those pieces in a frying pan with some butter or oil. As the potatoes cook, they get crispy and golden brown on the outside, which makes them taste really good!

But here's the special part: once the potatoes are almost done cooking, you add some onions to the pan! Onions are a vegetable that taste kind of sweet once they're cooked, and they add a lot of flavor to the potatoes. So you mix everything together and keep cooking until the onions are soft and the potatoes are fully cooked.

Then, you get to eat the Lyonnaise potatoes! They're a yummy side dish that goes well with lots of different meals, and they're especially popular in French cuisine. Plus, since potatoes are a vegetable, they're healthy for you too!
