Māori protest movement

The Māori protest movement is a group of people who are Māori, which means they are the original people of New Zealand. They believe that the government and other people in power have not treated them fairly and they are standing up for their rights.

Sometimes, the Māori protest movement has organized big demonstrations, where lots of people come together and march or make speeches. They might also protest by occupying land that they say belongs to them, or by making artwork that shows their feelings.

The Māori protest movement is important because it helps people understand that not everyone is treated equally or fairly. It also shows that it's OK to speak up for what you believe in, and that sometimes, you need to work together to see changes happen.
