MGM logos

Okay kiddo, so you know how when you watch a movie, there's usually a little picture at the beginning that pops up before the movie starts? That's called a logo! And one famous logo is from MGM, which stands for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.

The MGM logo is a very famous one, it's been around for a long time. You know that lion you see at the beginning of movies? That's the MGM logo! His name is Leo the Lion, and he's been in many movies over the years. He's a big, strong lion who roars really loud.

But why did they choose a lion for their logo, you ask? Well, lions are known as the "king of the jungle" because they're strong and powerful animals. MGM wanted to show that they were a strong and powerful company too, so they picked a lion to represent them.

But the MGM logo has changed over the years too! Sometimes Leo the Lion looked a little different, or there were different backgrounds behind him. But no matter what, he always roared really loud.

So next time you watch a movie and you see the MGM logo, you can tell your friends that it's Leo the Lion, and he's been around for a long time, and he's the king of the jungle!
