Magnetometer

A magnetometer is a tool that helps us measure the strength and direction of magnetic fields. Just like how you can use a ruler to measure the length of a pencil, a magnetometer can measure the power and direction of magnetic fields.

In simpler terms, imagine you have a tiny compass that always points to the north. If you place this compass near a magnet, it will always point towards the magnet. A magnetometer is like a super compass that can measure how strong the magnetic pull is and in what direction it is pointing.

Scientists and engineers use magnetometers to study the Earth's magnetic field or to navigate using compasses. They are also used in smartphones and other electronic devices to help figure out which way the device is facing and adjust the display accordingly.
