Mahakuta group of temples

Mahakuta group of temples is a special collection of temples in a place called Mahakuta, located in India. These temples were built a really, really long time ago – we are talking about hundreds and hundreds of years ago! They were built between the 6th and 8th centuries AD, which is much longer than you, or your parents, or even your grandparents have been alive!

The temples are really special because of their architecture – that means the way they are built. They are made from big blocks of rock, which were cut from the mountains and then put together by people to make a temple shape. The temples all have different shapes and designs, which makes them really interesting to look at and explore.

People used to use these temples to worship their gods and goddesses, who they believed helped them, protected them and gave them good luck. People would come from all over to visit the Mahakuta temples and ask for blessings from their gods.

Nowadays, the temples are still standing and you can visit them too! You will see that some parts of the temples have broken down over the years, but many parts are still there and still look beautiful. Make sure you bring your camera, because you will want to take lots of pictures of the amazing carvings and sculptures on the walls.

So, to sum it up, the Mahakuta group of temples are a very old and special collection of temples located in India, known for their unique shapes and designs, and were used for worshiping gods and goddesses. And now, they are a really cool place to visit and learn about!
