Mail is like sending a letter to someone but instead of giving it to them in person, you put it in a special box called a mailbox. Then, a very special person called a mail carrier comes around and takes all the letters from the mailboxes and sorts them into different groups to make sure they go to the right person.
Once the mail carrier has all of the letters sorted, they put them into a bigger box called a mailbox truck and drive to a big building called a post office. At the post office, the mail is sorted even more to make sure it goes to the right city and state.
After the mail is sorted, it is put onto a big airplane or a truck and sent to its final destination. Then, the mail carrier in that city will take the letters and deliver them to the right house or business.
So, whenever you get a letter or package in the mail, it means someone wanted to send you something special and it went on a big adventure to get to you!
