Malt syrup

Malt syrup is a sticky gooey stuff made from grains like barley or wheat. It's kinda like honey, but instead of bees making it, people make it by soaking grains in water, letting them sprout a bit, and then heating them up to make a sweet syrup. It's kinda like making hot cocoa - you mix it up, and then heat it up! People use malt syrup in lots of things like bread, beer, and candy because it helps make things sweet and yummy!
