Manifold

A manifold is a type of shape or surface. Manifolds look like different kinds of flat surfaces put together. For example, think of a globe. It is made up of many flat surfaces that join together. That makes a manifold. It can be very confusing because it looks 3-dimensional, but it is actually made up of many flat pieces.
