Manufacturing Consent

Manufacturing consent is when businesses or powerful people use advertising, media, or other tools to influence what other people think or believe. They do this to make people believe things they want them to believe, or to make people buy things they are selling. It's kind of like trying to get someone to think the same thing as you, but using sneaky tactics and tricks instead of just telling them.
