Maquila Solidarity Network

Maquila Solidarity Network (MSN) is an organization that helps people who work in factories, called maquiladoras, get treated fairly. These factories are located in countries like Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala. The people who work in these factories often make clothes, toys, and electronics that are sold in the United States.

Now, let's imagine that you and I went to a store to buy a toy. We see a great toy that we want to buy, but we don't know where it is made. MSN tries to find out where the toy is made and if the workers who made it are being treated fairly. They talk to the workers and find out if they are getting paid enough money, if they are working in safe conditions, and if they are being treated with respect.

If MSN finds out that the workers are not being treated fairly, they help them to talk to their bosses and demand better treatment. MSN also helps workers to form unions, so they can have a stronger voice in the factory. They also teach workers about their rights and help them to create solutions for their problems.

Overall, MSN helps to make sure that workers who make products in other countries are not being taken advantage of and are treated fairly. They work hard to create a better world for everyone!
