Marie-Louise Coidavid
Marie-Louise Coidavid was a queen who lived a long time ago in a country called Haiti. She became queen in 1849 after marrying a man named Faustin Soulouque who became king. Marie-Louise was very important because she was the first black queen in Haiti, and her reign lasted for 18 years.
As queen, Marie-Louise helped her husband with important decisions and also took care of their children. They had lots of servants who helped them with everyday tasks, like cooking and cleaning. Marie-Louise also had a lot of beautiful clothes and jewels that she wore for important occasions.
