Maritime Silk Road

Maritime silk road is like a long highway across the sea. Ships sailed along this highway carrying special goods from China to countries in the Middle East and Europe. They carried riches like rare spices, silk, and gold, which people in other places found special and valuable. Along the way, different cultures and inventions were exchanged. Today, many countries still use this waterway to transport goods to other parts of the world.
