The Marshall Plan was an idea created in 1947 by an American man named George Marshall. He wanted to help rebuild Europe after World War II because many countries were destroyed and people were very poor. The Marshall Plan gave European countries money so they could buy food, build houses and factories, and rebuild the places that were destroyed. This help from America lasted for four years and gave Europe a chance to get back on its feet. In the end, the Marshall Plan helped to make Europe strong and prosperous again.
