Mary of Magdalene is a woman who lived a very long time ago in a place called Magdala. She was a friend of a very important man named Jesus and followed him everywhere he went. Mary loved Jesus very much and wanted to help him in any way she could.
Jesus was a very special person who taught people about love, kindness, and forgiveness. But some people didn't like what he had to say and they wanted to hurt him. So one day, Jesus was arrested and put on a cross to die.
Mary was very sad when she heard this, but she didn't give up. She stayed with Jesus until the end and even went to his tomb after he died. But when she arrived, something amazing happened. The tomb was empty and Jesus was nowhere to be found!
Suddenly, she saw a man who she thought was the gardener. But it turned out to be Jesus! He had come back to life and was alive again. Mary was so happy and told all of Jesus' friends about what had happened.
From that day on, Mary became known as Mary Magdalene and she traveled all over the world, telling people about Jesus and the amazing things he had done. She was a very important person and her story still inspires people today to be kind, loving, and forgiving just like Jesus was.
