ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Math–verbal achievement gap

The math-verbal achievement gap means that some people may do better in math than in reading or talking about a subject, and some people may be better at reading and talking about a subject than in math. Some people might be great at both math and reading and talking, but there might be a gap between the two. This means that someone might be really good at both math and reading and talking, but they might be better at one than the other. It can also mean that someone might not be as good at either math or reading or talking about a subject compared to people who are very good at both.
