ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Mathematically Correct

Okay, imagine you’re playing with blocks. You have a bunch of different shapes and colors, and you want to build something neat. To make sure your structure is correct, you need to follow the rules of stacking the blocks together.

This is kind of like math. There are rules to follow when you are working with numbers. For example, 1 + 1 = 2 because when you put one block on top of another, you get two blocks.

But what if you were trying to add two blocks that are different sizes? You might have to use more than one little block to fill up the space. The same thing happens in math. Sometimes, you have to use a smaller number a bunch of times to get to the same place as a bigger number.

Mathematically correct means following the rules and doing the steps in the right order to get the right answer. It’s like building with blocks – if you don’t follow the right steps, your structure might fall down. But if you do follow the rules, you can create something amazing!
