Mathematics and art

Mathematics and art are two different kinds of activities that involve using shapes and numbers. Math involves a lot of numbers, counting and problem solving. Art involves creating pictures and sculptures by drawing, painting and sculpting. Even though they seem like different activities, math and art are actually connected! Artists use math to help measure and keep proportions in their artwork. They also use math to draw angles, scale objects and make precise calculations. Math is everywhere in the world of art!
