Maulana

A maulana is a Muslim religious leader or scholar who has a lot of knowledge about Islam and teaches people about it. Think of the maulana like a teacher who helps people understand how to be a good and kind person by following the teachings of Islam. They sometimes speak at a mosque, which is a special place where Muslims come together to pray and learn about their religion. The maulana will often read from a special book called the Quran, which is like a guidebook for Muslims that teaches them how to live their lives in a way that is pleasing to God. Just like you have a teacher at school who helps you learn about different subjects, the maulana is there to help Muslims learn more about their faith and become better people.
