ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Islamic term

One Islamic term that is important to understand is "tawheed". Think of tawheed like a big tower with three parts. The first part is called "Tauheed Al Rububiyyah" which means believing that Allah is the only creator and controller of everything in the universe. He is the boss of everything and no one else can do what he can do. The second part is called "Tawheed Al Asmaa Was-Sifat" which means believing in the names and attributes of Allah. This means that we believe in the qualities and characteristics of Allah that make him special, like his mercy or his knowledge. The third part is called "Tawheed Al Ibaadah" which means believing that all worship and obedience is for Allah alone. This means that we worship and pray only to Allah, and we don't worship or obey anyone or anything else. Overall, tawheed is an important concept in Islam because it helps Muslims understand Allah's power and glory, and reminds us to worship and obey him alone.
