ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Maurice Bloch

Maurice Bloch was a French anthropologist who studied the behavior of people around the world. He was interested in how different cultures think, what their beliefs were, and how they behaved in different situations. He loved to travel and learn about different cultures, so he wrote many books and articles about his findings. He is known for his theories about how people use their minds to think and reason, which is called cognitive anthropology. He also wrote about religion and how people use it to understand the world.
