Maya architecture

Okay kiddo, let me tell you about Maya architecture.

The ancient Mayan people built lots of different types of buildings that were very cool and interesting. Their buildings were made out of stone and were usually pyramid-shaped.

They used something called limestone to make their buildings, which is a type of rock that is easy to cut and shape. They also used a special type of water that helped the limestone stick together.

Mayan buildings were often decorated with carvings of people and symbols that were important to their culture. They believed in gods who controlled different aspects of life, like rain, sun, and crops, so they often put statues or carvings of these gods on their buildings.

One of the most famous Mayan buildings is a pyramid called Chichen Itza. It's got four sides and each side has stairs that go up to the top. At the top, there's a temple where the Mayan people could worship their gods.

Mayan architecture is really amazing because they were able to build all of these incredible structures without using any modern tools or technology. They did it all by hand!
