Meander

A meander is a curve or bend in a river or stream. It forms when the river or stream moves around in a winding pattern. This happens as the water flows downhill and it is shaped by the rocks, soil, and other features of the land around it. As it winds back and forth, it erodes the land, creating deeper and wider parts of the river or stream. Over a long time the river or stream may change its course a lot, creating bigger and bigger meanders!
