Mechanical load

When we play with our toys, we give them a lot of different kinds of forces. We push or pull them, we twist them, or we put things on top of them. All these forces that we give to our toys is called "mechanical load".

Just like our toys, everything around us can experience mechanical load, including buildings, machines, vehicles, and even our bodies. Mechanical load makes things move or change shape, just like when we bend a piece of paper. Depending on the amount and type of force, mechanical load can be good or bad for things.

For example, when we lift something heavy, we are putting mechanical load on our muscles and bones. If we do it carefully and with the right technique, our bodies can actually become stronger. But if we lift something too heavy or too quickly, we can actually hurt ourselves and cause damage.

Similarly, if we put too much weight on a table or a chair, it might break. This is because the mechanical load becomes too much for the table or chair to handle.

In conclusion, mechanical load is the forces that are applied to objects and bodies and can either strengthen or damage them. It is important to be careful and mindful of the amount and type of load we give to things to avoid any unwanted consequences.
