Mechanism (engineering)

Mechanism (engineering) is when a machine is made up of different parts which work together to make it move, or do something. Think of it like building blocks. Each piece is designed to fit together and to do something special, like let the machine spin, or lift something up, or even open and close. When they're all put together they let the machine do its job.
