A media scrum is when lots of journalists (people who write or report news) gather together and try to ask questions to someone who is important or famous (like a politician or a celebrity). It can be very crowded and noisy, like a big group of people trying to talk all at once. Just like in a game where everyone tries to grab the ball, the journalists try to get the attention of the person they want to talk to and ask them questions. It can be exciting for the journalists because they might get a really good story, but it can also be overwhelming for the person being interviewed because there are so many people trying to talk to them at the same time.
